Is your attention span too short to read a sixteen-page magazine without something else playing in your ears? Have you ever wished that you could discover the music and media that INDY writers cover all in one place? Look no further than this very Suggests. We’re delighted to introduce the INDY Issue Soundtrack, compiled by yours truly for your listening pleasure. Listen to the music that inspires our writers and shapes our magazine, plus discover what else we’ve had on repeat between issues.
This month, all-encompassing synths take center stage, from the set-in-the-50s, influenced-by-the-80s Marty Supreme score to Charli xcx’s experimental Wuthering Heights soundtrack to French noise rock band Mandy, Indiana’s newest project. It’s all the kind of music that you have to lie down and close your eyes to fully appreciate, feeling the sound surround you out of your speakers or headphones. Hopefully, this playlist feels like a warm hug in the lingering March chill, and the perfect segue into spring. Play it while you read the INDY, play it while you walk to class, play it in your room to recover from your St. Patty’s. And be sure to give our Spotify a follow to stay up to date on what’s in our ears each month. Listen here or scan the QR code below!
