Preview: Knocked Loose & Denzel Curry at The Anthem on Oct. 3

This upcoming Saturday, Oct. 3, Knocked Loose and Denzel Curry will storm classic DC-venue The Anthem to co-headline their 2026 Hive Mind tour, named after their surprise joint single released in February. The collaboration is an explosive combination of hardcore and hip-hop music. The aptly named “Hive Mind” uncovers the core of both genres: unfettered self-expression. Knocked Loose, a Kentucky metalcore band, firmly established themselves in the scene for their volatile, show-stealing performances which earned them a set at Coachella in 2023, ahead of the release of their last album You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To. Knocked Loose vocalist, Bryan Garris, spoke of Curry’s feature saying, “We wondered if we could pull it off and who would be down. In the very beginning, we said for it to work, it would have to be Denzel Curry. Because he gets it.” Curry’s deep, punchy vocals and Garris’s piercing, relentless, throat-shredding shrieks do, indeed, work well together. Saturday’s concertgoers can expect Denzel Curry to add a new, exciting flavor to Knocked Loose’s set, but, rest assured, the pit will be as hard as ever.
