On Nov. 1, Pretty Sick will play at The Atlantis in D.C. before making their way across nine other major cities throughout the U.S. and Canada. The indie rock band originated in New York City and is composed of front woman Sabrina Fuentes, guitarist Benjamin Arauz, and drummer Eva Kaufman. The group signed with British indie label Dirty Hit in 2020.

This tour will feature their newest album Anarchy (2026), released earlier this fall. Branching off from their typical indie rock style, Anarchy combines electronic and wave influences while maintaining the band’s typical edgy themes. In general, their lyrics focus on coming-of-age struggles, specifically on Fuentes’ experience growing up in the city.

The trio released their first album, titled Makes Me Sick Makes Me Smile, in 2022. Their earlier tracks have a stronger alt-rock sound than the new album, but attract a similar audience. The development of their style follows Fuentes’ own growth; she started Pretty Sick in 2014 when she was just 13.

While Pretty Sick’s influence is fairly concentrated in NYC where it all started, they’ve found fans across the U.S. and in London, where their record label is centered. Still considered an underground band, the group will perform at smaller venues, bringing fans the indie energy they love.
