D.C. Food Truck Tasting Festival

If you are looking for a festival to satisfy the foodie in you, then this is the event for you! DC Food Truck Tasting Festival: Curbside Cookoff brings together Washington’s best food trucks as they compete against each other for victory; people are expected to vote for their favorite truck in an effort to help them win the Golden Spatula, a coveted prize. According to the event’s website, ticket holders are entitled to four tastings, a drink, and are given access to a wide array of activities, including cornhole, bounce houses, and musical performances. The festival has been a hit ever since its debut in 2010, as it was the first of its kind. As food trucks have become a veritable trend, the event acts as an excellent platform to discover new foods and their respective trucks, which can later be found again throughout the DMV. The cookoff will take place on Friday, Oct. 27, at the lot on 4th and M streets. Kick back, enjoy good food from local producers, live music and games. Though you can get into the event for free, you will not have access to tastings or other privileges reserved to ticket-holders. Online ticket sales close on Oct. 13, so make sure you get yours before then as on-site purchases will be more expensive. PC: Destination360
